in beautiful Nimes - the south of France
The corridas (bull fights) and fiestas in Nîmes are well known throughout France and even Spain. Nimes holds many bullfights and bull runs in the Roman Arena (Les Arènes) during the spectacular annual Pentecost festival, the next being held in May 2009.
The festival is totally influenced by all things Iberian, so as you would expect there are delicious tapas and plenty of fun to be had throughout the town even if you can't stomach or object to the action in the arenas.
Please visit the Arènes website by clicking on this tab to obtain further details of the bullfights.
